How To Get Maximum Efficiency Of Industrial Boiler

Industrial boilers are the vital equipment for manufacturing industry, and are widely used to provide sufficient steam or hot water for production process. Meanwhile, the boilers will cost a lot of fuel and maintain fee. So how to get the maximum efficiency of them is a important problem for industries. There are some aspects that affect the efficiency of the boilers.

Good janitor

A professional janitor contributes to the safety and efficiency of the boiler combustion. The janitor should clean coal leakage timely to reduce solid fuel incomplete combustion and inspect all related equipment about boiler, such as valves, meters and other conditions.

Heat loss in flue gas is the largest loss in industrial boilers, especially for the coal fired boiler. During the use of boilers, a large quantity of heat will be discharged with flue gas and it is a waste. When the boiler is operating with the largest load, the smoke flow rate in chimney should be slower in case of a big resistance of smoke flue and incomplete combustion of fuel. When the boiler is operating with the lowest load, the smoke flow rate in chimney should not lower than 2.5~3m/s to prevent the air outside from coming in through chimney.

Keeping sufficient combustion time, supplying appropriate amount of air, providing higher combustion temperature and furnace temperature, and qualified pulverized coal fineness, well mixed combustion and air are the key methods to improve combustion efficiency and reduce heat loss. So we should choose appropriate fuel according to boiler types. The humidity of the air is another addition of moisture to the furnace and also causes a loss in efficiency. The hydrogen content of the fuel combines with oxygen, forming additional water as super heated steam. Incomplete combustion of fuel represents a serious loss and can be minimized by using sufficient air and a suitable means of mixing the fuel and air. An oversupply of excess air that above the amount that required for complete combustion of the fuel will increase this heat loss and also tends to cool the boiler.
