How Gas Power Plant Boiler Blowdown
Power plant boiler to provide electricity for industrial production is the necessary facility in the world. But for long time people use coal as thermal power plant fuel that brings serious pollution and leads to a deformity of energy use structure. Natural gas is clean energy and gas fired power plant boiler is possible to provide needed power with less emission.
Large capacity gas fired boiler for power generation
The gas boiler for power station is not like the gas fired boiler that we often mentioned. It is field assembled, usually large capacity, vertical layout; and what we often discussed gas fired boiler is 1 ton -25 ton, horizontal layout, and packaged water or fire tube boiler. In 2010, we had a 75 ton gas fired power plant boiler in Sinkiang installation, which was purchased by a chemical plant for providing industry electricity.
During the power boiler operating, the feed water into the drum usually brings some salt, after agent-feeding treatment, the scaling mass in boiler water may transfer into grain slag, besides, the metals produce some corrosion products, then boiler water impurity concentration is too large. This can affect steam quality, cause heating surface scaling and corrosion, even deadly affect its safety operation. Therefore, gas fired power plant boiler need blowdown, and following I will give a brief introduction how gas fired power plant boiler blowdown.
Measures for gas fired boiler blowdown
1. When the gas power plant boiler blowdown, low load (external load is small) vapor pressure ≤Kg / c㎡; water pump starts, it needs higher water level. After the boiler water supplementary to high water level, water pump knob should be on the automatic position.
2. Open the quick drain valve, and then open the slow drain valve (slowly open) for sewage; the gas power station boiler should repeatedly switch the quick boiler blowdown valve on and off several times. Meanwhile sewage process stops until pump starts automatically.
3. Before turn off the quick drain valve, first turn off full speed blowdown valve. If only it only has two fixed drain valves but no quick drain valve, operator can first open the right angle valve, then open the fixed valve. Notice: before turn off valves, ensure there is no residual pressure between the two drain valves in the gas fired boiler.
