Main equipment components of cement kiln rotary waste heat boiler

Steam drum

Steam drum, an important component for boiler evaporation, is a cylindrical reservoir of water or steam at the end of the waste heat boiler water tubes. The drum stores the steam generated in the water tubes and acts as a phase-separator for the steam/water mixture. Steam drum, along with downcomers, header, evaporation tube, steam lead pipe, form the boiler water circulation loop. There are a certain number of steam and water in boiler drum, so the drum has heat storage capacity, which can slow the pace of pressure change when changes occur in operating condition, in favor of the boiler operation regulation.

Downcomer

The downcomer is connected to one end of the steam drum, the other end is directly or through the branch pipe connecting with the lower header, water in drum or feed water in downcomer is constantly supplying into lower header for membrane water wall, to maintain normal water circulation.

Header

The modern boilers are usually using the circular header, to connect same two parts or different number and tube diameter pipes, for the collecting, mixing and dispensing effects.
